Error in the Apache error.log

Apache Address already in use: make_sock: could not bind to port xxxx


Find the process which is using the port:
netstat -tulpn| grep :xxxxx

Kill the process:

kill -9 httpd

    Thanks for good post.
    Sometimes this issue happens due to nettapp lock and lock
    has to be released at netapp level.
